These Halloween Card Making Ideas were created using paper cutting dies from Spellbinders, Sizzix and Aliexpress.
I made all my Halloween cards from scratch using white textured card stock (I prefer the textured card stock because it gives my cards a more upscale look and feel). These handmade cards are A2 size, meaning they measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. This is pretty much your standard card size.
To cut your card size, you cut your card stock to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 then fold them right down the middle. Yes! It’s that easy! Next you will trim the paper that goes on top of your card 1/8th of an inch down from your standard A2 card size measurement.
This next set of Halloween Spooky Spider Cards were made using the Sizzix Original Die Phrase – Spooky. For this one I used the black glitter paper on embossed orange Halloween card stock, added a couple of sequin for the glam effect and done!
This beautiful witch, frame and the Dia de los Muertos paper-cutting-dies came from Aliexpress.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed these Halloween card making ideas and find them helpful in your own Halloween DIY projects.
Here’s the second entry to my Halloween Card Tutorials for 2017. I just love Halloween! It marks the beginning of cooler weather, beautiful fall foliage and end of the year holidays! And along with those holidays there is a lot of card making and gift exchanges!
In my home we go all out for Halloween. We decorate our home, hold parties, and of course give out tons of candy!
If you’ve been following my card making tutorials and project idea shares, you already know I lean more towards the grown-up, sophisticated and quite often glam-like side of hand made cards. Well, this year Halloween was no exception.
I knew I wanted to use card stock already on hand (bought on clearance for 90% off after last year’s Halloween), and I knew I wanted to add that touch of sophistication (hence the gold and glitter black papers).
What I really like about this specific die set is #1 you get several pieces and #2 you can either display your pumpkins as regular pumpkins or Jack-o-lanterns.
Another great feature to this particular Halloween Die Set is the special attention to details. Just look at the embossing on the tree, spider and Jack-o-lantern!
With this Card Kit of the Month, I’m sharing different handmade card ideas and tutorials that I hope inspire you, and have you card making (like a pro) in no time!
Remember you CAN do this! But don’t just take my word for it. With the Spellbinders Card Kits, not only do you get quality card stock, trims and embellishments, but each collection has a series of paper-cutting-dies that you’ll enjoy using over and over again.
Each Spellbinders card kit of the month contains ten blank cards and envelopes, but if you’ve watched my past card kit tutorial videos, you know how I can stretch these great kids and get as many as 15 to 20 cards per kit! (This includes 3×3 note cards)
I’m having tons of fun creating cards from this kit! What I’m really loving about my Spellbinders Card Kit is that each card I create is different! Each kit provides you with several different scrapbook papers (and great quality may I add) and embellishments that you can not help but expand your creativity!
I hope that you join me and play along in my Spellbinders Fall Harvest Card Kit of the Month Video Series. If you’re looking for more card making ideas, tutorials and inspiration, watch my handmade cards playlist below.

Christmas Card Project Idea
For this Christmas Card I used a Dollar Tree Ornament from their Christmas section, white card stock to make the base of the card (it’s a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in size), Prima paper from my stash, and some white and gold trims from my stash.
The cards are an easy DIY. After trimming your cardstock down to size, you trim your base paper 1/8 of an inch less than the face of the card. Eye measure your trims, and use hot glue to glue them down. Then you snip off the piece of golden thread that holds your Dollar Tree Bow Ornament to your Christmas Tree, and glue the bow down using your hot glue gun.
And to top off the Christmas Treat Bags I used the Sequin Sparkle Tissue Paper. You’ll find the Sequin Sparkle Tissue Paper and the Small White Paper Gift Bags at the Party Supply Section in the store.
