Color Crush Planner Review

Color Crush Planner Review. It’s actually my Petals & Bloom planner.

This past week was my birthday and my son treated me to a shopping trip at Hobby Lobby, and  as it turns out they were running a sale on all items under their house brand, Paper Studio.  For several weeks, I’ve been keeping an eye out for their new planners to go on sale; and even though they have more expensive planners like Heidi Swapp, Webster Pages, Happy Planner and Carpe Diem to name a few, I like the way their house brand planner was put together.

The Petals and Blooms planner collection by Paper Studio closely resembles the best of the best. The covers rival Webster Pages Color Crush, the binding system is just like the Heidi Swapp planner binders, and the paper layout is exactly what I need. They also have amazing paper pads, stickers, and accessories to go with their new planners; but what’s even more amazing is the low price! Planners are expensive! And rightly so! They give you so much to work with, but sometimes it’s just a little bit much. I know of some planner only companies, that after placing an order you’re out a couple of hundred bucks! If that is the route you choose to go, more power to you! But to me… na-ah. Not even on my best day!

The binder – I LOVE how the binder works! It’s a smooth open and close and I really like that! It seems sturdy enough but only time will tell. The binder I chose comes in a gold color.  I’ve had silver planner binders in the past, and I really wanted to try out the gold for a change. I’m glad I did. It adds a touch of elegance to your planner. There’s also a magnetic planner closure! Gotta love that!

The planner sheets – The set up is perfect! I can not stand planners that give you a tiny little box for writing space. I have full days each and every day and I really, REALLY need as much writing space as I can get!

The planner accessories – Hobby Lobby can use a bit more in this department. Granted that as a crafter I can create my own dashboards and pocket pages; but it would be nice to have the option to buy these as sometimes time is a precious commodity to me.

All in all the Petals & Blooms planner collection by Hobby Lobby is a great buy, and at $20 you get a lot of bang for your buck!

The following are some pics of my new planner set up. I have some handmade planner embellishments that I’ll soon do a tutorial on. I have used some stickers from different collections; and I have also used my project life cards for sentiments and notes postings. Let me know what you think of my new planner. Enjoy!

By the way, that cute bow embellished paper clip was created using a gold clip and a Spellbinders Multi Loop Bow Etched Die. Click here to check out this Spellbinders bow die and other dies you can use in your crafting.
