Petals + Blooms Planner June 2017 Layout

Hello planner friends! I’m happy to say that I finally know what to call my planner! I’ve watched dozens of videos and have read a dozen more blog posts to finally conclude that the best name for my planner is the Petals + Blooms Planner!

I got this Petals + Blooms planner at Hobby Lobby. It was a birthday gift from my son.  Initially I called it a color crush planner, cause honestly… I didn’t know what else to call it.  There are the Happy Planners, the Erin Condren, the Recollections Planner, the Memory Planners and even the My Prima Planner.  However, no one ever talks about the $20 amazing planner you can purchase at Hobby Lobby.   Because it is displayed with their house brand along with the Petals + Blooms collection, I’m calling it the Petals + Blooms Planner.

Phew! Now that I got that out of the way, let me start on the reason behind my clean and simple weekly layout for June.  If you’ve been following my blog, you know that this is my work planner.  In this planner I jot anything and everything down pertaining to my business.  Yes, I want it to look cute; but I can’t fill it up with stickers and decorations because I need the writing space.  I’m the first to claim I have one of the worst handwriting from anyone I know. Believe me. I need the space.

The pocket page that you see there (with the Home is where the Heart is sentiment) is a left-over from last year’s Heidi Swapp. All I did was adhered it to my June cover page, using double sided tape. This pocket is for notes, check receipts, etc.  Because the Heidi Swapp planner pocket was a bit smaller than the cover page, I decided to add some checkerboard washi on the one side of the page and I think it serves as a nice contrast.

I decided not to fuss too much, trying to fit my Heidi Swapp remaining pages, on my new planner.  I figure no one but me looks through my planner.   It really doesn’t matter to me that the bottom middle hole had to be double punched.  The couple of stickers and washi that I used in my layout take attention away from the extra holes I had to punch, and bring the eye to the pretty colors used.

Notice how I used the wider washi to hide the month?  I don’t remember the brand of the washi on the left. I’m thinking it’s a Recollections, maybe? The wide floral washi to the right is a Hedi Swapp. I just love that floral washi! I don’t think that floral washi is still available; but if you’re looking for something like it, check these out:

I know that this month’s layouts are not that exciting, but they have to work for me.  I’m seriously considering purchasing another planner so that I can decorate it to my heart’s content! The planners that I’m considering are the following:

There’s a HUGE price gap between the two.  I just have to think how I’m going to use my new planner (other than just the decorating) and how much I’m willing to spend.  I wonder… how many planners does the average planner love have? How many planners do YOU have? So far I have my Petals + Blooms Planner and a Webster’s Traveler’s notebook. I use my TN more like a wallet however.  I use it to jot things down (when I’m out), and it goes with me everywhere.

Thank you for stopping by. Until next time. Ciao!
