Spellbinders Card Making Tutorial June 2019 – Vintage Treasures by Becca Feeken

Hello Card Making friends! This is Sandi for Spellbinders! Today I’m sharing a Card Making Tutorial using the Shapeabilities Antiquities Square Etched Dies from the Vintage Treasures collection by Becca Feeken.

In this Spellbinders Card Making Tutorial I’ll provide you with the measurements to make this card and tips on how I go about in bringing elegance to each card that I make.

This set of dies comes with the outer frame and insert, inner frame and insert, and a decorative medallion die.

The Tutorial

We trim a piece of card stock to 10×5, place it horizontally on the scoring board and score at 5″, then fold.

Tip: I’ve found that pastel color card stock works best with Elegant Homemade Cards

For my first frame I chose a repeating design in Gold.

For the second layer, I add the insert to the large frame. I use washi-tape to hold these 2 pieces together. I use the same color card stock as the base for this part.

Tip: If you work with a lot of intricate dies, like I do, it’s a good idea to invest in a Spellbinders Tool n’ One.

Next, I add washi to the inner frame and insert to cut this piece using the same card stock design as my first frame.

I then use a scrap piece of gold card stock to die-cut the center medallion piece.

Now that we have all of our pieces to make our card, it is time to put it altogether!

Tip: To add elegance to the inside of my greeting card, I like to add a matted white piece of card stock.
