Card Making Ideas using Past and Present Kits from Spellbinders

Hello card makers! Today I’m sharing some Card Making Ideas using Past and Present Kits from Spellbinders! As you know I love making handmade cards.  It is a relaxing and rewarding hobby that fills my world with inner peace and beauty.  I thought that this month would be fun to share with you how you can mix and match some of your past card making club kits from Spellbinders with your new ones.

This month we are celebrating my daughter’s 22nd birthday; and I asked her what her favorite colors currently were. She said pink and then purple. So I went through my paper stash and found these simple, yet beautiful, pale pastel card stocks and decided to use them for her birthday card. Since I was going through my stash, I decided to look through my past Spellbinders die-club kits and found several that I wanted to mix n match with my current Spellbinders kits!

The beautiful butterfly design that you see in both of my cards is not from a kit. Although it is no longer available at Spellbinders, you can still find it at Amazon by clicking here.

I decided to use one of my Spellbinders Die-cutting and Embossing folders for the background of this card; and I’m so glad that I did! As paper crafters and card makers, we usually forget about using our embossing folders and I want to encourage everyone out there to use their folders. It only takes seconds of your time to run your plain card stock, through your machine, with the embossing folder. Let’s use our folders!

In conclusion, whether you’re making handmade cards for yourself, to donate, to sell, or just giveaway to friends and family, be sure to look through your craft stash and see what pieces you can bring together to make something absolutely stunning!
