Hello Paper Crafting friends! Today I’m sharing a new tutorial with you. Today we’re going to assemble the mermaid die-cuts from the Spellbinders Card Making Kit July 2019.

Tips on Putting the Pieces Together

I begin by separating all of the shaped die-cut pieces that come in the kit. I find that by separating them by color, speeds up my embellishing process.

Next, I do my die-cutting. I look over the ideas card (included in the kit), decide on the color card stock that I want to use and begin my die-cutting process.  Normally I’ll cut several pieces of each Spellbinders die; but for this tutorial I’ll just focus on the mermaid.

Tip: Use a brown color ink pad on your white color card stock, to give your mermaid brown eyes.  Do the same, with a different ink pad color, to give her other color eyes.

There is a die for the right eye and a die for the left one. The embossing on her face will direct you which die-cut piece is which.

When attaching her arms, note that according to the ideas card they bend out.

And although the smaller fin is meant to go underneath the larger fin, I decided to double up her fins. I like it better this way.
