Card Making with Spellbinders

Card Making with Spellbinders

Hello fellow card makers! Today I have a couple of Card Making ideas with the Spellbinders Destination Japan die-sets by Lene Lok. What I enjoyed about these particular sets of dies is that they lend themselves to making either masculine or feminine homemade cards.

The card below was made using a 5×7 white card base, papers from the Graphic 45 Bird Song collection and the Spellbinders Pagoda die-set by Lene Lok. I die-cut the outer part of the pagoda with white card stock, and the inner piece using paper from the G45 collection. I then glued the intricate part to the white card stock cut pieces, glued the top half to the bottom half, then applied it to the card using foam dots.

This next card was made using an A2 card base in grey. I double matted this card with plain white card stock and a scrap from my stash. I die-cut two cranes with the Spellbinders Origami Crane Die by Lene Lok, one in white card stock and the other in a mirror gold card stock. With my Spellbinders tool n’ one, I removed a couple of pieces here and there from the gold crane. Then I glued the crane on the front of my card, and glued pieces from the white crane shapes inside the gold crane.
