Graphic 45 Bloom Mini Album Tutorial | #ClubG45
Hello paper crafting friends! In this Graphic 45 Bloom Mini Album Tutorial, I’ll be sharing how you can create super easy mini albums with directions from the Graphic 45 project sheets.
You’ll find the Graphic 45 Project Sheets by clicking here. The project sheet idea that we’re working with today is called A Ladies Diary – Chipboard Mini Album & Journaling Diary by designer and educator Maria Cole.
For this project sheet idea, I’m using the Graphic 45 Bloom paper collection and other supplies by Graphic 45. (See below for supplies list)
After printing and reading through the directions, I take one 12×12 Graphic 45 Chipboard Sheet, cut it at 8″, then Score it at 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 (per the instructions).
I then proceed to trim the front and back covers and the spine.
However, because I want the black color chipboard to frame my covers, I trim these at 5 1/4 x 7 3/4, and the spine at 1 15/16 x 7 3/4.
Once my covers are trimmed, I ink around the edges, just enough to get rid of the white edges around my papers.
Now I’m ready to apply my covers with some wet adhesive. You may use permanent double-sided tape if you wish.
I follow the same measurements and process for the inside.
I then choose 3 designs from my Graphic 45 Bloom paper collection. These will be my inside pages.
Next I follow steps 6 through 9 on the project sheet; but with one exception. I replace the 8″ measurement with 7 3/4. The reason I do this is because I want the inside pages to be slightly smaller than my mini album base.
I score all three sheets following the steps on the project sheet.
Once I have my three pages scored and folded, I build my mini album by gluing spine to spine, making sure that I’ve centered each one. And as you can see on the picture, I apply glue almost to the edge of the spine.
Video Tutorial
As you can see, I followed the directions of the project sheet with a couple of tweaks. Once I have the mini album in place, the rest is just adding pockets, embellishing, and just adding one’s own personal touch.
Whether you’re a beginner scrapbooker or an advanced paper crafter, I think that you’ll appreciate the easy to follow project sheets by Graphic 45.
The Graphic 45 Project Sheet tutorials are put together by some of the best paper crafting educators in the industry. And best of all, these tutorials are free of charge.
You may use the same collections that you see in the project sheets, or use the Graphic 45 supplies that you have in your stash. These tutorials contain measurements and tips, and as you saw here, you can tweak your project to add your own personal touch.
I’ve put together an easy-to-follow tutorial, where you can view my entire process. I hope that you find this tutorial helpful; and that I’ve inspired you to visit the Graphic 45 Project Sheet Ideas.
Until next time. Happy paper crafting!
