Hello paper crafting friends! Today I’m sharing a Graphic 45 Communique folio mini album that I made from scratch. I just love making quick and easy mini albums; and I find that folios take the less time (for me), when made from scratch.

Did you know that Graphic 45 carries it’s own line of chipboard? That’s right. They carry scrapbooking chipboard sheets in both black and kraft colors. They’re 12×12 and come packaged.
What I like about the Graphic 45 chipboard is that it’s not too thick, so that I don’t go through my cutting blades as quickly as I do when I use regular thick size chipboard (money saver!). But don’t let the depth be of concern to you; once you add your cover and your papers, it’s as sturdy as any chipboard out there. Plus it’s easier to work with. I highly recommend that you give it a try and judge for yourself.

The Gallery
You’ll notice that this time I decided to incorporate earth-tone (neutral) color card stock along the pages. I’ve seen this done in Beatrice Scrap’s videos and I really like how her scrapbooks turn out.
You may also notice the simple pocket at the bottom of the left side (in the first slide below). I needed to add a closure to this side of my folio mini album to keep the pages in place. This is where the large tag comes in.
The pocket at the bottom holds the tag, and the tag is tall enough to keep the pages in place. I found this type of closure very effective.
I love the Graphic 45 Communique paper collection. It adds that perfect touch of vintage to any paper crafting project!
